Tests and certificates

You are buying silence.Check the evidence.

A logo in an offer is no substitute for a test report. Polish documentation and transparent results help you make an informed decision.

Polish certificates: the document first, then the claim.

The MUTEO catalogue contains no Polish test reports identifying the models on offer. So we do not present Polish certificates as confirmed. Before you buy, ask for current documents for the specific configuration. For a school or a children's facility, also agree the requirements for safety, ventilation, supervision and free exit.

Three steps to verify documents

  1. 1.

    Check the model

The document must cover the cabin on offer and its configuration. A report on a material or a component is not a test of the complete product.

  2. 2.

    Check the issuer

Find out the laboratory name, report number, date and scope of accreditation. In Poland, start verifying accreditation in the PCA register.

  3. 3.

    Check the requirements

Compare the standards and indicators used with the needs of the project. For the relevant EU rules, check the declaration of conformity and the responsible party.

Facts, not shortcuts

Is a document from Chinavalid in Poland?

There is no rule that every certificate issued in China is invalid in Poland.

What a document means depends on its type, the applicable rules, the competence of the issuer and the scope of the test. Accredited reports can be recognised under international agreements, depending on their scope and the requirements of the recipient.

A certificate on its own, whatever the country of issue, does not replace the required EU declaration of conformity. The CE marking on its own is neither a quality certificate nor proof of sound insulation.

When buying for a school, a public office or an office, also check the requirements of the specific tender. Do not judge an offer by its logo or country of origin alone.

Educational material, not individual legal advice.

MUTEO model parameters

We separate parametersfrom proof of conformity.

Sound insulation and reverberation time of MUTEO models according to the 2026 catalogue
ModelSound insulationReverberation time per data sheet
Muteo L ProNIC up to 30 dBNo reverberation time stated
Muteo SR'max 30.7 dBT20 0.10 s at 1 kHz
Muteo MR'max 32.4 dBT20 0.10 s at 1 kHz
Muteo LR'max 33.8 dBT20 0.15 s at 1 kHz
Muteo Monday25 dB0.10 s (500 Hz), 0.05 s (2 kHz)
Muteo Tuesday25 dB0.10 s (500 Hz), 0.05 s (2 kHz)
Muteo Tuesday L25 dB ±5 dB0.10 s (500 Hz), 0.08 s (2 kHz)

R'max is a maximum value, not an even noise reduction across every frequency. It is not equivalent to other indicators. Charts and catalogue sheets need to be confirmed by a full report before you compare offers.

CE · TÜV SÜD · ISO · FSC · RoHS

The catalogue lists these marks for the Muteo S, Muteo M and Muteo L models. It gives no ISO standard numbers, certificates or detailed scope. ISO can refer to a management system, FSC to the origin of a material and RoHS to restricted substances. None of these labels gives an acoustic result on its own.

Acoustics and material safety

Silence has its parameters.Safety needs documents.

Muteo L Pro: NIC up to 30 dB and a 6 year warranty with a defined scope of liability.

  • NIC up to 30 dB

The declared parameter of the Muteo L Pro. NIC is a sound insulation indicator, not the name of a certificate. ISO 23351-1 describes a different test method: speech level reduction. We do not convert one result into the other.

  • ISO 23351-1

The standard defines a laboratory measurement of how much a cabin reduces speech level. We do not have an ISO 23351-1 report for the Muteo L Pro, so we do not present this standard as a certificate we hold. NIC up to 30 dB does not replace such a test.

  • OEKO-TEX fabric

The Muteo L Pro specification names a fabric with an OEKO-TEX certificate covering the testing of textiles for harmful substances. It applies to the material, not to the whole cabin or its acoustics. Before you buy, ask for the number, scope and validity of the document.

  • Fire safety

Flame retardancy of a material, reaction to fire and fire resistance are different properties. For a school project, check the relevant report for the materials and configuration used. There is no confirmed fire class for the Muteo L Pro. OEKO-TEX does not confirm one.

CE, RoHS and other ISO standards

CE means conformity with the relevant EU requirements, and RoHS restricts certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment. ISO 9001 covers quality management, not sound insulation. The marks in the Muteo S, Muteo M and Muteo L catalogue are not proof for the Muteo L Pro. Before ordering, check the declaration of conformity, the scope of the documents and the requirements of your facility.

Muteo L Pro warranty: 6 years, with 2 years of full liability and 6 years on the durability and stability of the furniture. Parameters and confirmations apply to the named model only. We do not carry them over to the Muteo Tuesday L or other cabins.
